प्राची दिगग्निरधिपतिरसितो रक्षितादित्या इषवः । तेभ्यो नमोऽधिपतिभ्यो नमो रक्षितृभ्यो नम इषुभ्यो नम एभ्यो अस्तु । योऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि यं वयं द्विष्मस्तं वो जम्भे दध्मः
The eastern direction—Agni is the lord, Asita is the guardian, the Ādityas are the arrows; to them be homage, to the lords be homage, to the guardians be homage, to the arrows be homage, to these be homage. Whoever hates us, and whom we hate, into your jaws we cast him.

एकैकयैषा सृष्ट्या सं बभूव यत्र गा असृजन्त भूतकृतो विश्वरूपाः । यत्र विजायते यमिन्यपर्तुः सा पशून् क्षिणाति रिफती रुशती
By this single creation she came into being, where the cows were produced, the makers of beings of all forms; where she is born, the restrainer of the yoke, she destroys the cattle, raging and shining.
एषा पशून्त्सं क्षिणाति क्रव्याद्भूत्वा व्यद्वरी । उतैनां ब्रह्मणे दद्यात्तथा स्योना शिवा स्यात्
She destroys the cattle, having become flesh-eating, the devourer; let her be given to the Brahman, so she may become gentle and auspicious.
शिवा भव पुरुषेभ्यो गोभ्यो अश्वेभ्यः शिवा । शिवास्मै सर्वस्मै क्षेत्राय शिवा न इहैधि
Be auspicious to men, to cattle, to horses; be auspicious to all this field, be auspicious to us here—do not come here with harm.
इह पुष्टिरिह रस इह सहस्रसातमा भव । पशून् यमिनि पोषय
Here be nourishment, here be sap, here become one who brings a hundredfold wealth; O Night, nourish the cattle.
यत्रा सुहार्दः सुकृतो मदन्ति विहाय रोगं तन्वः स्वायाः । तं लोकं यमिन्यभिसंबभूव सा नो मा हिंसीत्पुरुषान् पशूंश्च
Where friends of good heart and good deeds rejoice, having cast off disease from their own bodies—may Night reach that world; may she not harm our men or our cattle.
यत्रा सुहार्दां सुकृतामग्निहोत्रहुतां यत्र लोकः । तं लोकं यमिन्यभिसंबभूव सा नो मा हिंसीत्पुरुषान् पशूंश्च
Where there are friends of good heart, where good deeds and offerings to the fire are made, where that world is—may Night reach that world; may she not harm our men or our cattle.
यद्राजानो विभजन्त इष्टापूर्तस्य षोडशं यमस्यामी सभासदः । अविस्तस्मात्प्र मुञ्चति दत्तः शितिपात्स्वधा
When kings divide the sixteenth part of sacrifice and gift, these judges of Yama's assembly—let the white-footed one, given as a gift, release him from that.
सर्वान् कामान् पूरयत्याभवन् प्रभवन् भवन् । आकूतिप्रोऽविर्दत्तः शितिपान्न् नोप दस्यति
He fulfills all desires, he prospers, he becomes; the white-footed one, given openly with intention, will not fail you.
यो ददाति शितिपादमविं लोकेन संमितम् । स नाकमभ्यारोहति यत्र शुल्को न क्रियते अबलेन बलीयसे
He who gives the white-footed one, undivided, measured with the world, does not ascend to that heaven where no tax is paid by the weak to the strong.
पञ्चापूपं शितिपादमविं लोकेन संमितम् । प्रदातोप जीवति पितॄणां लोकेऽक्षितम्
He who gives five cakes, the white-footed one, measured with the world, lives by giving in the undiminished world of the fathers.

इरेव नोप दस्यति समुद्र इव पयो महत्। देवौ सवासिनाविव शितिपान् नोप दस्यति
He will not fail you, just as the great ocean does not fail in water; like two gods seated together, the white-footed one will not fail you.
क इदं कस्मा अदात्कामः कामायादात्। कामो दाता कामः प्रतिग्रहीता कामः समुद्रमा विवेश । कामेन त्वा प्रति गृह्णामि कामैतत्ते
Who gave this, and to whom was it given? Desire gave it for desire. Desire is the giver, desire is the receiver, desire has entered the ocean. With desire I accept you; this is your desire.
भूमिष्ट्वा प्रति गृह्णात्वन्तरिक्षमिदं महत्। माहं प्राणेन मात्मना मा प्रजया प्रतिगृह्य वि राधिषि
May the earth accept you; may this great atmosphere accept you. May I not, by accepting with my breath, my self, or my offspring, be deprived.
सहृदयं सांमनस्यमविद्वेषं कृणोमि वः । अन्यो अन्यमभि हर्यत वत्सं जातमिवाघ्न्या
I make you of one heart and of one mind, free from enmity; let each one love the other as a cow loves her newborn calf.
अनुव्रतः पितुः पुत्रो मात्रा भवतु संमनाः । जाया पत्ये मधुमतीं वाचं वदतु शन्तिवाम्
Let the son be devoted to the father, let him be of one mind with the mother; let the wife speak gentle words to her husband, bringing peace.
मा भ्राता भ्रातरं द्विक्षन् मा स्वसारमुत स्वसा । सम्यञ्चः सव्रता भूत्वा वाचं वदत भद्रया
Let not brother hate brother, nor sister hate sister; being united in purpose and vow, speak words of kindness.
येन देवा न वियन्ति नो च विद्विषते मिथः । तत्कृण्मो ब्रह्म वो गृहे संज्ञानं पुरुषेभ्यः
By which the gods are not divided, nor do they hate one another—may we make that sacred power in your house, understanding among men.
ज्यायस्वन्तश्चित्तिनो मा वि यौष्ट संराधयन्तः सधुराश्चरन्तः । अन्यो अन्यस्मै वल्गु वदन्त एत सध्रीचीनान् वः संमनसस्क्र्णोमि
Let the elders, wise in thought, not fall apart; let them strive together, moving with one purpose; let each speak kindly to the other—thus I make you of one mind.
समानी प्रपा सह वोऽन्नभागः समाने योक्त्रे सह वो युनज्मि । सम्यञ्चोऽग्निं सपर्यतारा नाभिमिवाभितः
Your drinking is the same, your share of food is the same; I yoke you together to one yoke. Worship Agni with united minds, as spokes around a hub.
सध्रीचीनान् वः संमनसस्कृणोम्येकश्नुष्टीन्त्संवननेन सर्वान् । देवा इवामृतं रक्षमाणाः सायंप्रातः सौमनसो वो अस्तु
I make you all united in purpose and of one mind, all of you together in harmony, like the gods guarding the immortal; may you be of good mind in the evening and in the morning.
वि देवा जरसावृतन् वि त्वमग्ने अरात्या । व्यहं सर्वेण पाप्मना वि यक्ष्मेण समायुषा
O gods, drive away old age; O Agni, drive away hostility; drive away all sin, drive away wasting disease and shortened life.
व्यार्त्या पवमानो वि शक्रः पापकृत्यया । व्यहं सर्वेण पाप्मना वि यक्ष्मेण समायुषा
The purifying one, the mighty, drives away hostility, drives away sinful action; drive away all sin, drive away wasting disease and shortened life.
वि ग्राम्याः पशव आरण्यैर्व्यापस्तृष्णयासरन् । व्यहं सर्वेण पाप्मना वि यक्ष्मेण समायुषा
Let the domestic animals be separated from the wild, let thirst depart far away; drive away all sin, drive away wasting disease and shortened life.
