Of whom heaven is the father, earth the mother, and the ocean the root of plants—may those divine herbs grant you the knowledge of a son.
Milky herbs, may my speech be full of milk; and among those full of milk, I bring forth abundance by the thousands.

Let the goad goad you, do not remain lying on your bed; with that dreadful arrow of desire, I pierce you in the heart.
The arrow of desire, leaf-tipped, with the barb of longing, the sprout of intention—having made it well-aimed, may desire pierce you in the heart.
That well-formed arrow of desire, which dries up the spleen—sharp and pointed to the east—by that arrow I pierce you in the heart.
Pierced by the sharp arrow, with parched mouth, do not creep near; be gentle, free from anger, speaking kindly, devoted and faithful.
I am born from you, O offspring, from the mother and also from the father; so may your intentions, O resolute one, come to my mind.
