These, O Indra, your people, prosper in every prize; among them, you are manifest, O noble one, the wise, the undeceived—may you know of us, bring that here.
To the one who shapes beautiful forms for help, as a cow yields milk to the milker, we offer oblations, day by day.
Come to our libations, drink of the Soma, O Soma-drinker; the exhilaration of the generous is here, O god.
Then may we know the limit of your gracious favors; do not pass us by—come here.
For help, protect the most vigorous, the glorious, the ever-watchful; Indra, drink the Soma, O hundred-powered.
The powers, O hundred-powered, that are yours among the five peoples—Indra, I choose those for you.
Indra, grant us great fame, bestow unconquerable glory; by your might, we shall overcome.
Come to us from near, and also, O mighty one, from afar; the world that is yours, O stone-armed Indra, come here from there.
Indra, indeed, sits in great dread, he does not waver; for he is firm, the most active.
May Indra show us mercy, may no harm come to us from behind; may good be before us.
May Indra make us fearless from all directions; the slayer of enemies, the most active.
Who knows him, who, accompanied by the pressed Soma, drinks, whom the wise have set forth? He who shatters fortresses with his strength, delighting in the pressed, flowing Soma.
Like a giving beast, like an elephant, he has set his course in many places; no one restrains you at the Soma pressing—great, you move by your might.
He who, being fierce, is not to be restrained, who is firm, prepared for battle—if the generous one hears the praise of the singer, let not Indra go to the woman.
We, having pressed the Soma, sit around you, O Slayer of Vṛtra, like waters with strewn sacrificial grass, at the outpourings of the purifier, as worshippers.
Men, O Wealthy One, sing to you at the pressing of the Soma, with hymns; when, longing for the pressed drink, will you come to the house, O Indra, like a bellowing bull to the herd?
With the Kaṇvas, O Mighty One, we seek you, the bold-bannered, the thousand-gifted, O Maghavan, of tawny form, O wise one, swiftly for the wealth of cattle.
All, as if desiring the sun, partake of Indra's bounty; the treasures born with strength, we have distributed, as by portion.
Praise the giver of wealth, free from malice; the bounties of Indra are auspicious. He does not withhold the desire of the one who arranges for him, urging the mind to giving.
You are great, O Sun, O Aditya, you are great; your greatness, being great, is renowned; truly, O god, you are great.
O Sun, by your fame you are great; together, O god, you are great. By your greatness, O Sun, you are the priest of the gods, pervading, the undeceivable light.
Upwards, those sweet, intoxicating songs, hymns, are raised; for the ever-victorious, the wealthy, the inexhaustible, urging on like chariots to the prize.
Like the Kaṇvas, like the Bhṛgus, like the Sun, all shining forth, the eager ones glorify Indra with hymns; the dear-minded have sounded forth.
Indeed, his portion is increased, like wealth for the one who seeks to win; whom Indra, with his bays, does not harm—his enemy places skill in the Soma-offerer.
Place the unbroken, well-composed, beautiful hymn among the worshipful; even the former obstacles are crossed by him for whom Indra is present in action.
Thus, you are heroic, thus, O champion, you are steadfast; thus is your generous mind.
Thus, your bounty, O bestower of much, is placed among all the givers; even misfortunes, O Indra, are with me.
Do not grow weary like a priest, O Lord of Strength; delight in the pressed, cattle-rich Soma.
Thus, his true speech is abundant, rich in cows, great; like a ripe branch for the worshipper.
Thus, your powers and aids, O Indra, are for the helper; even immediately, they are for the worshipper.
