To the seasons, to the seasonal divisions, to the months, to the years, to the supporter, the arranger, the prosperous, to the lord of beings, I offer.

Disease does not overcome him, nor does a curse reach him, who partakes of the fragrant scent of the medicinal guggul.
From him, diseases flee in all directions, as deer and horses run away, when there is guggul, rock salt, or sea salt.

The name 'Holder of both ends' is for him, for the purpose of safety.

Three are your names, O kuṣṭha: river-born, river's delight, river's man. To whom I address you, in the evening, morning, and also by day.

Thrice from the Śambhus, thrice from the Angirases, thrice from the Ādityas, thrice born from the All-Gods—this kuṣṭha, universal remedy, stands together with Soma. The aśvattha tree, divine abode, is in the third, boundless heaven; there is the seat of immortality, from there kuṣṭha was born. This kuṣṭha, universal remedy, stands together with Soma. A golden ship, with golden bindings, moved in heaven; there is the seat of immortality, from there kuṣṭha was born. This kuṣṭha, universal remedy, stands together with Soma. Where the ship's descent is, where the head of the Himalaya is, there is the seat of immortality, from there kuṣṭha was born. This kuṣṭha, universal remedy, stands together with Soma. Whom you were known to before, by Ikṣvāku, or whom you, kuṣṭha, were desired by, or whom you, Vasu, were eaten by, by that you are the universal remedy.

Whatever gap there is in my mind, or in my speech, which Sarasvatī has reached with wrath—may Bṛhaspati, united with all the gods, fill that up.

May you not harm our intelligence, nor our consecration, nor our austerity; may auspiciousness be ours for long life, may our mothers be auspicious.
You, O Aśvins, who have brought us the luminous, who have driven away darkness—may that bestow food upon us.
Desiring the good, the seers, knowing heaven, at first undertook austerity and consecration; from that arose sovereignty, strength, and vigor—may the gods grant that to him.
Brahman is the Hotṛ; Brahman is the sacrifice; by Brahman the chants are measured. The Adhvaryu is born from Brahman; the oblation is hidden within Brahman.

O remover of sin, I bring forth my thought; choosing good favor for the well-knotted one. O Indra, accept this oblation; may the desires of the sacrificer be fulfilled.
To the remover of sin, the bull among those fit for sacrifice, shining forth as the first of the rituals— to the offspring of the waters, O Aśvins, I call with insight; grant me your strength and power.
