इन्द्रो मा मरुत्वान् एतस्या दिशः पातु तस्मिन् क्रमे तस्मिं छ्रये तां पुरं प्रैमि । स मा रक्षतु स मा गोपायतु तस्मा आत्मानं परि ददे स्वाहा
May Indra, accompanied by the Maruts, guard me in this direction; in him I step, in him I take refuge, into that fortress I enter. May he protect me, may he watch over me; to him I entrust myself—svāhā.
प्रजापतिर्मा प्रजननवान्त्सह प्रतिष्ठया ध्रुवाया दिशः पातु तस्मिन् क्रमे तस्मिं छ्रये तां पुरं प्रैमि । स मा रक्षतु स मा गोपायतु तस्मा आत्मानं परि ददे स्वाहा

बृहस्पतिर्मा विश्वैर्देवैरूर्ध्वाया दिशः पातु तस्मिन् क्रमे तस्मिं छ्रये तां पुरं प्रैमि । स मा रक्षतु स मा गोपायतु तस्मा आत्मानं परि ददे स्वाहा
May Bṛhaspati, together with all the gods, protect me from the upward direction. In that path, in that refuge, I enter that stronghold. May he guard me, may he watch over me. To him I entrust myself. Svāhā.
अग्निं ते वसुवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायवः प्राच्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Agni, rich in treasures, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from the eastern direction.
वायुं तेऽन्तरिक्षवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायव एतस्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Vāyu, possessing the midspace, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from this direction.
सोमं ते रुद्रवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायवो दक्षिणाया दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Soma, accompanied by Rudra, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from the southern direction.
वरुणं त आदित्यवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायव एतस्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Varuṇa, accompanied by the Ādityas, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from this direction.
सूर्यं ते द्यावापृथिवीवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायव प्रतीच्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Sūrya, accompanied by Heaven and Earth, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from the western direction.
अपस्त ओषधीमतीर्ऋच्छन्तु । ये माघायव एतस्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May the Waters, rich in plants, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from this direction.
विश्वकर्माणं ते सप्तऋषिवन्तमृच्छन्तु । ये माघायव उदीच्या दिशोऽभिदासान्
May Viśvakarman, accompanied by the Seven Sages, be sought for you by those Māghāyavas who attack from the northern direction.

समुद्रो नदीभिरुदक्रामत्तां पुरं प्र णयामि वः । तामा विशत तां प्र विशत सा वः शर्म च वर्म च यच्छतु

ब्रह्म ब्रह्मचारिभिरुदक्रामत्तां पुरं प्र णयामि वः । तामा विशत तां प्र विशत सा वः शर्म च वर्म च यच्छतु

अप न्यधुः पौरुषेयं वधं यमिन्द्राग्नी धाता सविता बृहस्पतिः । सोमो राजा वरुणो अश्विना यमः पूषास्मान् परि पातु मृत्योः
They have removed the man-made destruction—Indra, Agni, Dhata, Savitar, Brihaspati, Soma the king, Varuna, the Ashvins, Yama, and Pushan; may they protect us from death.
यानि चकार भुवनस्य यस्पतिः प्रजापतिर्मातरिश्वा प्रजाभ्यः । प्रदिशो यानि वसते दिशश्च तानि मे वर्माणि बहुलानि सन्तु
Whatever the lord of beings, Prajapati, and Matarishva, the master of the world, have made for the creatures—wherever they dwell in the regions and directions—may those many armors be mine.
यत्ते तनूष्वनह्यन्त देवा द्युराजयो देहिनः । इन्द्रो यच्चक्रे वर्म तदस्मान् पातु विश्वतः
Whatever is within your bodies, O gods, rulers of heaven, O embodied ones; whatever armor Indra made, may that protect us in every way.
वर्म मे द्यावापृथिवी वर्माहर्वर्म सूर्यः । वर्म मे विश्वे देवाः क्रन् मा मा प्रापत्प्रतीचिका
Heaven and earth are my armor, the dawn is my armor, the sun is my armor; all the gods have made my armor—may hostile forces not reach me.
गायत्र्युष्णिगनुष्टुब्बृहती पङ्क्तिस्त्रिष्टुब्जगत्यै
