On whom they set up the altar, on the Earth, on whom the all-crafting ones extend the sacrifice; on whom the singers measure their chants, on the Earth, where the bright offerings rise upward before—may that Earth, ever growing, make us grow.
यो नो द्वेषत्पृथिवि यः पृतन्याद्योऽभिदासान् मनसा यो वधेन । तं नो भूमे रन्धय पूर्वकृत्वरि
Whoever hates us, O Earth, whoever fights us, whoever attacks with mind or with violence—O Earth, bind him for us, as did those of old.

Clothed in Agni, knowing the blackness of Earth, may she not make us sharp with her blazing power.

Rising, sitting, standing, moving forward—may we not stumble on Earth with our right or left foot.

I speak of the earth, the wide-ranging one, the patient, the ground, who has grown strong through the power of sacred utterance; bearing nourishment and sustenance, the portion of food—O earth, rich in ghee, upon you may we settle down.
शुद्धा न आपस्तन्वे क्षरन्तु यो नः सेदुरप्रिये तं नि दध्मः । पवित्रेण पृथिवि मोत्पुनामि
Let the pure waters flow over my body; whatever is unlovely or harmful to us, that we set aside. With purification, O earth, I cleanse you.

As far as I can see upon you, O earth, with the sun and the land, so far may my sight extend; may I not lose my vision, nor my uppermost or highest span.

When lying down, turning to the south, or seeking friendship, O earth, or lying on your western side, or when we rest upon your back—do not harm us there, O earth, in any part or limb.
यत्ते भूमे विखनामि क्षिप्रं तदपि रोहतु । मा ते मर्म विमृग्वरि मा ते हृदयमर्पिपम्
Whatever I dig from you, O earth, may that quickly grow back; O wide-ranging one, do not let me harm your vital parts, nor your heart.
