The Khaḍūri, the wandering Chankramā, the dwarf-dweller Kharvikā; those mighty ones who are hidden within, the Gandharvas and Apsarases, the serpents and other beings, the demons—
Those with four fangs, the gnawers, those with swollen testicles, those with bloody mouths, those who are from us and those who are from others—
Shake forth, in the swelling, the enemies and their roots; let the victorious and the conqueror conquer the enemies, O Indra and Earth.
The enemy, overwhelmed, crushed, lies slain in the swelling; let the victorious, flame-tongued, smoke-crested ones come with their army.
With that swelling, may Indra strike down the raised enemies again and again; may the lord of power not let me be released among these.
Let their hearts leap up, let the breath rise upward; let dryness of mouth follow, let it not befall the friend but only the enemies.
Those who are steadfast, those who are unsteady, those who turn away, those who are deaf, those who are enveloped in darkness, and those who dwell in the bladder—may you show all these in the swelling to be seen by the enemies, and reveal the mighty ones.
Let the swelling and the trisandhi pierce our enemies; as you, Indra, slayer of Vṛtra, strike down thousands of enemies, O lord of power.
The forest trees, the plants of the forest, the herbs and the grasses, the Gandharvas and Apsarases, the serpents, the gods, the blessed ones, the ancestors—may you show all these in the swelling to be seen by the enemies, and reveal the mighty ones.
Their lordship is with you, O Maruts, O gods, Āditya, Bṛhaspati; their lordship is with you, Indra and Agni, Dhātṛ, Mitra, Prajāpati; their lordship is with the seers, watching among the enemies, with your swelling.
All you lords among them, rise up, join together; O friendly divine beings, having conquered this battle, stand firm according to your station.
Rise up, join together, O mighty ones, with your standards; serpents, other beings, demons—pursue the enemies.
He knows your sovereignty, your rule, O Triṣandhi, with the red banners at dawn; those who are in the midspace, those in heaven, those on earth, and those among men—may all these, with Triṣandhi in their hearts, attend to us, removing evil speech.
With iron-faced, needle-faced, and even with hooked-faced weapons, let the flesh-eaters, swift as the wind, bind the enemies with the thunderbolt of Triṣandhi.
Disappear, O Jātavedas, O Sun, the corpse and the multitude; may this army of Triṣandhi be well-disposed and under my control.
Rise up, you, with the multitude of the divine people, with the army; this offering is made for you, the beloved oblation of Triṣandhi.
Let the four-footed and the sharp-toothed ones come together, and those struck by arrows; in the matter of sorcery against enemies, be with Triṣandhi and his army.
Let the smoky-eyed one fly together, and the sharp-eared one cry out; with the army of Triṣandhi victorious, let the red banners be raised.
Let the birds, those flying creatures who move in the midspace and in heaven, descend; let the wild beasts and flies gather together, let the vultures devour the corpse.
With that alliance which you, O Indra, and Brāhmaṇa Bṛhaspati, have established, with that Indra-alliance I call upon all the gods here—may you conquer for me here and beyond.
Bṛhaspati, the Angirases, the seers, skilled in sacred knowledge, have taken up the thunderbolt of Triṣandhi, the slayer of demons, as a weapon.
By which that Sun, well-guarded, and Indra both stand firm—Triṣandhi, the gods have apportioned for strength and might.
With this oblation, the gods conquered all the worlds; Bṛhaspati and the Angirases poured the thunderbolt, the slaying weapon of Triṣandhi, for the destruction of demons.
Bṛhaspati and the Angirases poured the thunderbolt, the slaying weapon of Triṣandhi, for the destruction of demons; with that, O Bṛhaspati, I besmear this army, with might I slay the enemies.
May all the gods come who partake of the vaṣaṭ-uttered offering; be pleased with this oblation, conquer for me here and beyond.
May all the gods come, the beloved oblation of Triṣandhi; protect the great alliance by which the demons were first conquered.
Let the wind turn back the arrows of the enemies; let Indra shatter their arms, let them not be able to aim at us; let Āditya destroy their weapons, and the Moon lead them on a path from which there is no return.
If the gods of old went forth, having made prayers their armor, making their bodies a shield and protection, whatever they approached, make all that powerless.
Following the flesh-eaters and with Death as the priest, go forth, O Triṣandhi, with the army; conquer the enemies and advance.
O Triṣandhi, with darkness surround the enemies; among those who have not offered clarified butter, let not one of them reach me.
