We have iron axes in our house; we know your many forms in the spell. Rise up and depart from here, stranger—what do you seek here?
I will cut off your neck and your feet, O spell. Run away! May Indra and Agni protect us, those who have offspring among people.
May Soma, the king, and the lords of beings, Mitra and Bhūtas, grant us mercy.
O Bhava and Sarva, be gracious to us for the evil done, for the spell cast; for the wrong done, let the divine weapon be like lightning.
Whether the spell is two-footed, four-footed, gathered in many forms, or eight-footed—having become a boundary, depart again to the distant place.
Smeared, anointed, marked with symbols, bearing all misfortune—depart! Recognize the maker of the spell, as a daughter knows her own father.
Depart, O spell, do not remain; go as if following a wounded track. You are the prey, and the hunter is after you; he should not cut you down.
One strikes the former dweller, taking back what was given; and another, striking the first, is struck in turn by the next.

The killing of the innocent is truly terrible, O spell—do not slay our cow, horse, or man. Wherever you are hidden, from there we raise you up; become lighter than a leaf.
If you are covered in darkness, as if wrapped in a net, let all such spells be destroyed; we send you back again to the maker.
Destroy the spell, the snare, the one who sets it against our people. O spell, perish; do not remain here. Strike down those who make spells.
Just as the sun is freed from darkness, as night abandons the signs of dawn, so do I cast off all evil and the spell that has been made, as an elephant shakes off dust.
