कर्णाभ्यां ते कङ्कूषेभ्यः कर्णशूलं विसल्पकम् । सर्वं शीर्षन्यं ते रोगं बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
From your ears, from the ear-openings, the splitting ear-pain—every disease of your head, we drive out from you.
यस्य हेतोः प्रच्यवते यक्ष्मः कर्णतो आस्यतः । सर्वं शीर्षन्यं ते रोगं बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
For whatever reason the wasting departs from the ear or from the mouth—every disease of your head, we drive out from you.
यः कृणोति प्रमोतमन्धं कृणोति पूरुषम् । सर्वं शीर्षन्यं ते रोगं बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
That which causes excessive discharge, that which causes blindness in a person—every disease of your head, we drive out from you.
अङ्गभेदमङ्गज्वरं विश्वाङ्ग्यं विसल्पकम् । सर्वं शीर्षन्यं ते रोगं बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
Pain in the limbs, fever of the limbs, all-limb pain, splitting pain—every disease of your head, we drive out from you.
यस्य भीमः प्रतीकाश उद्वेपयति पूरुषम् । तक्मानं विश्वशारदं बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
That which, terrifying in appearance, shakes a person—ague of every kind, we drive out from you.
य ऊरू अनुसर्पत्यथो एति गवीनिके । यक्ष्मं ते अन्तरङ्गेभ्यो बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
That which creeps along the thighs and enters the groin—we drive out the wasting from your inner parts.
यदि कामादपकामाद्धृदयाज्जायते परि । हृदो बलासमङ्गेभ्यो बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
If, from desire or lack of desire, it arises from the heart, all weakness of the heart and limbs, we drive out from you.
हरिमाणं ते अङ्गेभ्योऽप्वामन्तरोदरात्। यक्ष्मोधामन्तरात्मनो बहिर्निर्मन्त्रयामहे
Jaundice from your limbs, from the waters, from within your belly—we drive out the wasting from within your self.
आसो बलासो भवतु मूत्रं भवत्वामयत्। यक्ष्माणां सर्वेषां विषं निरवोचमहं त्वत्
Let the weakness become urine, let the disease become urine; I have declared the poison of all wastings away from you.
{२२} बहिर्बिलं निर्द्रवतु काहाबाहं तवोदरात्। यक्ष्माणां सर्वेषां विषं निरवोचमहं त्वत्
Let the cough and pain in your belly flow out through the outer opening; I have declared the poison of all wastings away from you.
उदरात्ते क्लोम्नो नाभ्या हृदयादधि । यक्ष्माणां सर्वेषां विषं निरवोचमहं त्वत्
From your belly, from the spleen, from the navel, from above the heart—I have declared the poison of all wastings away from you.
याः सीमानं विरुजन्ति मूर्धानं प्रत्यर्षनीः । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
Those that injure the suture, that attack the crown of the head—let those harmless, disease-free ones flow out through the outer opening.
या हृदयमुपर्षन्त्यनुतन्वन्ति कीकसाः । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
Those that attack the heart, that extend themselves, the coughs—let those harmless, disease-free ones flow out through the outer opening.
याः पार्श्वे उपर्षन्त्यनुनिक्षन्ति पृष्टीः । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
Those that attack the sides, that pierce the back—let those harmless, disease-free ones flow out through the outer opening.
यास्तिरश्चीः उपर्षन्त्यर्षणीर्वक्षणासु ते । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
Those that attack transversely, that pierce the suture in your flanks—let those harmless, disease-free ones flow out through the outer opening.
या गुदा अनुसर्पन्त्यान्त्राणि मोहयन्ति च । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
Those that creep in the rectum and disturb the intestines—let those harmless, disease-free ones flow out through the outer opening.
या मज्ज्ञो निर्धयन्ति परूंषि विरुजन्ति च । अहिंसन्तीरनामया निर्द्रवन्तु बहिर्बिलम्
May those mortars which grind and break apart, which do not harm and are free from disease, drive out the illness from its hiding place.
ये अङ्गानि मदयन्ति यक्ष्मासो रोपणास्तव । यक्ष्माणां सर्वेषां विषं निरवोचमहं त्वत्
Those diseases which afflict the limbs and cause distress, O Ropaṇā, I declare the poison of all such diseases to be removed from you.
विसल्पस्य विद्रधस्य वातीकारस्य वालजेः । यक्ष्माणां सर्वेषां विषं निरवोचमहं त्वत्
Of ulcer, of abscess, of wind-caused disorder, and of hair disease, I declare the poison of all such diseases to be removed from you.
पादाभ्यां ते जानुभ्यां श्रोणिभ्यां परि भंससः । अनूकादर्षणीरुष्णिहाभ्यः शीर्ष्णो रोगमनीनशम्
From your feet, knees, hips, and all the joints, from the harmful and burning pains, may the disease of the head and the pain of the limbs be destroyed.
सं ते शीर्ष्णः कपालानि हृदयस्य च यो विधुः । उद्यन्न् आदित्य रश्मिभिः शीर्ष्णो रोगमनीनशोऽङ्गभेदमशीशमः
Together with the bones of your head and the disturbance of your heart, as the rising sun with its rays, may the disease of the head and the pain of the limbs be dispelled.
अस्य वामस्य पलितस्य होतुस्तस्य भ्राता मध्यमो अस्त्यश्नः ।9.14 तृतीयो भ्राता घृतपृष्ठो अस्यात्रापश्यं विश्पतिं सप्तपुत्रम्
Of this grey one, the left one, the sacrificer, his middle brother is the eater; the third brother is ghee-backed. Here I saw the lord of the clan with seven sons.
सप्त युञ्जन्ति रथमेकचक्रमेको अश्वो वहति सप्तनामा । त्रिनाभि चक्रमजरमनर्वं यत्रेमा विश्वा भुवनाधि तस्थुः
Seven harness the chariot with one wheel; one horse, named seven, draws it. The wheel has three hubs, is unaging and unbroken, upon which all worlds are established.
इमं रथमधि ये सप्त तस्थुः सप्तचक्रं सप्त वहन्त्यश्वाः । सप्त स्वसारो अभि सं नवन्त यत्र गवां निहिता सप्त नाम
Upon this chariot, seven stand; it has seven wheels, and seven horses draw it. Seven sisters join together, where the seven names of cows are placed.
को ददर्श प्रथमं जायमानमस्थन्वन्तं यदनस्था बिभर्ति । भूम्या असुरसृगात्मा क्व स्वित्को विद्वांसमुप गात्प्रष्टुमेतत्
Who saw the first being born, the boneless one who bears bones? The soul, the maker of the earth, where is it? Who, knowing, approached to ask this?
इह ब्रवीतु य ईमङ्ग वेदास्य वामस्य निहितं पदं वेः । शीर्ष्णः क्षीरं दुह्रते गावो अस्य वव्रिं वसाना उदकं पदाऽपुः
Let him speak here who knows the place where the left one is set. The cows draw milk from its head; wearing a covering, they reached water by their steps.
पाकः पृछामि मनसाऽविजानन् देवानामेना निहिता पदानि । वत्से बष्कयेऽधि सप्त तन्तून् वि तत्निरे कवय ओतवा उ
I ask with my mind, not knowing, about the places set for the gods. On the calf, on the spotted one, the sages stretched seven threads and wove them.
अचिकित्वांस्चिकितुषश्चिदत्र कवीन् पृछामि विद्वनो न विद्वान् । वि यस्तस्तम्भ षटिमा रजांस्यजस्य रूपे किमपि स्विदेकम्
Not knowing, I ask the wise here, even those who know, like the learned. He who upheld six regions in the form of the unborn, what indeed is the one?
माता पितरमृत आ बभाजऽधीत्यग्रे मनसा सं हि जग्मे । सा बीभत्सुर्गर्भरसा निविद्धा नमस्वन्त इदुपवाकमीयुः
The mother shared the nectar with the father; at first, she approached with her mind. She, fierce, filled with the essence of the embryo, those who bow went to the speech.
युक्ता मातासिद्धुरि दक्षिणाया अतिष्ठद्गर्भो वृजनीष्वन्तः । अमीमेद्वत्सो अनु गामपश्यद्विश्वरूप्यं त्रिषु योगनेषु
The mother, yoked, stood on the right; the embryo was within the wombs. The calf measured, saw the cows, the universal form in three unions.
