Just as meat, surā, dice in gambling, and the virility of a man are destroyed in a woman, so let your mind, O cow, be destroyed in the calf.
Just as the elephant joins its foot to the foot of the elephantess, and the virility of a man is destroyed in a woman, so let your mind, O cow, be destroyed in the calf.
Just as the yoke, the harness, and the navel are joined to the yoke, and the virility of a man is destroyed in a woman, so let your mind, O cow, be destroyed in the calf.
Whatever food I eat, of many kinds and forms, gold, horses, cows, goats, whatever I accept, O Agni, let the offering priest make it well-offered.
Whatever has come to me, offered or unoffered, given by ancestors and approved by men, since my mind shines forth, O Agni, let the offering priest make it well-offered.
Whatever food I eat, whether given or not given by the gods, I gather it. By the greatness of Vaiśvānara, may the nourishing, sweet food be auspicious for me.
Just as the black one spreads the hair, making forms by the magic of the Asura, so let your fetter, O powerful one, make the limb whole with the limb.
Just as the skin grows thick by the wind, as much as the skin grows from another, so may your skin grow as much.
As much as the skin of the limb, the foreign, the elephant, and the donkey, as much as the horse's, the steed's, so may your skin grow as much.
Let Varuṇa, Soma, Agni, Bṛhaspati, and the Vasus come here. Let all the kin of the fierce lord, united in mind, approach this prosperity.
Whatever strength is in your hearts, whatever intention has entered your minds, I appease those with offering and ghee. May your kinship delight in me.
Remain here, do not depart. Let Pūṣan make a path for you beyond. Let the lord of the dwelling call you after. May your kinship delight in me.
May your bodies unite, your minds unite, your vows unite; may this Lord of Speech, Bhaga, unite you all together.
May there be agreement among your minds, and likewise agreement in your hearts; and whatever of Bhaga is weary, by that I bring you into agreement.
Just as the Adityas, mighty with the Vasus and the fierce Maruts, were not divided, so may these people here, not divided, be of one mind.
Drive away that rival from your dwelling, who contends against you; with the offering of non-obstruction, O Indra, may he depart far away.
Let Indra, the slayer of Vritra, drive him to the farthest distance, from where he does not return for endless ages.
Let him go to three distant places, let him go among five peoples, let him pass beyond three regions of light, from where he does not return, for as many ages as the sun exists in the sky.
Those who surround him, who set themselves against him to see, let the kindled Agni, with his tongues, enter their hearts.
I take hold of the place of Agni's burning for long life, of him whose smoke the observer sees rising from his mouth.
He who knows the kindling of this fire, established with the Kshatriya, and does not set its place at the navel, that one is destined for death.
Those who move around do not harm him, nor does he fall into misfortune; the Kshatriya who, knowing, takes the name of Agni, gains long life.
He stood upon the sky, he stood upon the earth, upon this whole world; the mountains stood in their place, the standing horses I set in place.
He who knows the upward path, the departure, he who knows the return and the turning back, who is the protector—I call upon him.
O Jatavedas, turn back; may a hundred return to you, may a thousand return to you; by these, restore us again.
With that being, with that offering, may you be filled again; may the wife whom we have brought home be increased with essence.
May she grow with nourishment, may she grow with prosperity; may these two, endowed with wealth and a thousandfold radiance, be unharmed.
Tvashtar created the wife, Tvashtar made you her husband; may Tvashtar grant you both a thousand years, may he give you long life.
May this Lord of the Cloud, the mighty one, protect us, guarding us from discord in our homes.
You, Lord of the Cloud, sustain strength in our homes; may you bring us abundance and wealth.
