इदमिद्वा उ भेषजमिदं रुद्रस्य भेषजम् । येनेषुमेकतेजनां शतशल्यामपब्रवत्
This indeed is a remedy, this is Rudra’s remedy, by which they drove away a hundred arrows from one single person.

Sprinkle with the remedy for the net-poison, sprinkle with the net-poison remedy; the fierce net-poison remedy—by that, grant us mercy for life.
शं च नो मयश्च नो मा च नः किं चनाममत्। क्षमा रपो विश्वं नो अस्तु भेषजं सर्वं नो अस्तु भेषजम्
May there be happiness for us, and delight for us; may nothing be harmful to us. May the earth forgive, may all be a remedy for us, may everything be a remedy for us.
यशसं मेन्द्रो मघवान् कृणोतु यशसं द्यावापृथिवी उभे इमे । यशसं मा देवः सविता कृणोतु प्रियो दातुर्दक्षिणाया इह स्याम्
May Indra, the generous, grant us glory; may both Heaven and Earth grant us glory; may the god Savitar grant me glory; may I be dear to the giver of the reward here.
यथेन्द्रो द्यावापृथिव्योर्यशस्वान् यथाप ओषधीषु यशस्वतीः । एवा विश्वेषु देवेषु वयं सर्वेषु यशसः स्याम
As Indra is glorious among Heaven and Earth, as the waters and plants are glorious, so may we be glorious among all the gods, among all beings.
यशा इन्द्रो यशा अग्निर्यशाः सोमो अजायत । यशा विश्वस्य भूतस्याहमस्मि यशस्तमः
Glorious is Indra, glorious is Agni, glorious is Soma who was born; I am the most glorious of all beings.
अनडुद्भ्यस्त्वं प्रथमं धेनुभ्यस्त्वमरुन्धति । अधेनवे वयसे शर्म यच्छ चतुष्पदे
To the bulls you are first, to the cows you are Arundhati; grant protection to the barren, to the young, to the four-footed.
शर्म यच्छत्वोषधिः सह देवीररुन्धती । करत्पयस्वन्तं गोष्ठमयक्ष्मामुत पूरुषान्
May the plant, together with the goddess Arundhati, grant protection; may she make the cattle-pen full of milk, free from disease, and the men as well.
विश्वरूपां सुभगामच्छावदामि जीवलाम् । सा नो रुद्रस्यास्तां हेतिं दूरं नयतु गोभ्यः
I call upon the all-formed, fortunate one, living; may she lead far away from the cows the missile of Rudra.
अयमा यात्यर्यमा पुरस्ताद्विषितस्तुपः । अस्या इच्छन्न् अग्रुवै पतिमुत जायामजानये
This Aryaman comes forward, shining, adorned with praise; seeking her, let him find a husband for the maiden, and let a wife be born for the groom.
अश्रमदियमर्यमन्न् अन्यासां समनं यती । अङ्गो न्वर्यमन्न् अस्या अन्याः समनमायति
Without fatigue, O Aryaman, let the union of others be harmonious; and, O Aryaman, let the union of this one with others be harmonious as well.
धाता दाधार पृथिवीं धाता द्यामुत सूर्यम् । धातास्या अग्रुवै पतिं दधातु प्रतिकाम्यम्
The Creator established the earth, the Creator established the sky and the sun; may the Creator appoint for her a suitable husband, worthy of her.
मह्यमापो मधुमदेरयन्तां मह्यं सूरो अभरज्ज्योतिषे कम् । मह्यं देवा उत विश्वे तपोजा मह्यं देवः सविता व्यचो धात्
May the waters bring me sweetness, may the sun bring me light; may all the gods, born of austerity, bring me their power; may the god Savitar grant me radiance.
अहं विवेच पृथिवीमुत द्यामहमृतूंरजनयं सप्त साकम् । अहं सत्यमनृतं यद्वदाम्यहं दैवीं परि वाचं विशश्च
I have separated earth and sky, I have set in motion the seasons, seven together; I speak what is true and what is untrue, I utter the divine speech and the speech of men.
अहं जजान पृथिवीमुत द्यामहमृतूंरजनयं सप्त सिन्धून् । अहं सत्वमनृतं यद्वदामि यो अग्नीषोमावजुषे सखाया
I have created the earth and the sky, I have set in motion the seasons, the seven rivers; I speak what is true and what is untrue, I am the friend of Agni and Soma who are to be invoked.
वैश्वानरो रश्मिभिर्नः पुनातु वातः प्राणेनेषिरो नभोभिः । द्यावापृथिवी पयसा पयस्वती ऋतावरी यज्ञिये न पुनीताम्
May Vaiśvānara purify us with his rays, may the wind with breath, the sky with its spaces; may Heaven and Earth, rich in milk, upholding truth, worthy of sacrifice, purify us with their milk.
वैश्वानरीं सूनृतामा रभध्वं यस्या आशास्तन्वो वीतपृष्ठाः । तया गृणन्तः सधमादेषु वयं स्याम पतयो रयीनाम्
Embrace the universal, gracious speech, whose limbs are adorned with abundance and whose back is well-furnished; by her, may we, praising together at the shared feast, become masters of riches.
वैश्वानरीं वर्चस आ रभध्वं शुद्धा भवन्तः शुचयः पावकाः । इहेडया सधमादं मदन्तो ज्योक्पश्येम सूर्यमुच्चरन्तम्
Embrace the universal radiance, becoming pure, shining, and luminous; rejoicing here with desire at the shared feast, may we see the sun rising with our own eyes.
यत्ते देवी निर्ऋतिराबबन्ध दाम ग्रीवास्वविमोक्यं यत्। तत्ते वि ष्याम्यायुषे वर्चसे बलायादोमदमन्नमद्धि प्रसूतः
Whatever binding cord the goddess Nirṛti has fastened upon your neck, which is not easily loosened—this I release for you, for life, for radiance, for strength; eat nourishing food, being born anew.
नमोऽस्तु ते निर्ऋते तिग्मतेजोऽयस्मयान् वि चृता बन्धपाशान् । यमो मह्यं पुनरित्त्वां ददाति तस्मै यमाय नमो अस्तु मृत्यवे
Homage to you, Nirṛti, of sharp radiance; I have cast away your iron bonds; Yama returns you to me—homage to that Yama, homage to Death.
अयस्मये द्रुपदे बेधिष इहाभिहितो मृत्युभिर्ये सहस्रम् । यमेन त्वं पितृभिः संविदान उत्तमं नाकमधि रोहयेमम्
To the iron, the wooden, the piercing bonds, and those named here, and to the thousand deaths—may Yama, together with the ancestors, raise this one to the highest heaven.
संसमिद्युवसे वृषन्न् अग्ने विश्वान्यर्य आ । इडस्पदे समिध्यसे स नो वसून्या भर
O youthful, mighty Agni, you are kindled among all peoples; you are enkindled at the place of offering—bring us wealth.
सं जानीध्वं सं पृच्यध्वं सं वो मनांसि जानताम् । देवा भागं यथा पूर्वे संजानाना उपासते
Come together, speak together, let your minds be united; as the gods of old, being of one mind, worshipped their share.
समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं व्रतं सह चित्तमेषाम् । समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि समानं चेतो अभिसंविशध्वम्
United be your intention, united your assembly, united your thought; I offer your oblation with united offering—unite your minds together.
समानी व आकूतिः समाना हृदयानि वः । समानमस्तु वो मनः यथा वः सुसहासति
United be your purpose, united your hearts; may your minds be one, so that you may live together well.
अव मन्युरवायताव बाहू मनोयुजा । पराशर त्वं तेषां पराञ्चं शुष्ममर्दयाधा नो रयिमा कृधि
Let anger and hostility be cast down, let the arms yoked with the mind be lowered; drive away their strength, crush their force, and grant us wealth.
निर्हस्तेभ्यो नैर्हस्तं यं देवाः शरुमस्यथ । वृश्चामि शत्रूणां बाहून् अनेन हविषाऽहम्
From their hands, I cut away the weapon which the gods have made powerless; with this offering, I sever the arms of the enemies.
इन्द्रश्चकार प्रथमं नैर्हस्तमसुरेभ्यः । जयन्तु सत्वानो मम स्थिरेणेन्द्रेण मेदिना
Indra first made the weapon powerless for the Asuras; may my allies win, with steadfast Indra as their support.
निर्हस्तः शत्रुरभिदासन्न् अस्तु ये सेनाभिर्युधमायन्त्यस्मान् । समर्पयेन्द्र महता वधेन द्रात्वेषामघहारो विविद्धः
Let the enemy, whose hands are powerless, approach and be subdued, those who come against us with armies for battle; O Indra, deliver them to a great slaughter, strike down the doers of evil.
आतन्वाना आयच्छन्तोऽस्यन्तो ये च धावथ । निर्हस्ताः शत्रवः स्थनेन्द्रो वोऽद्य पराशरीत्
Those who stretch, who advance, who shoot, and those who run—may the enemies be powerless; today, Indra, drive them away.
