For this village, for the four directions, may Savitṛ grant us abundant strength and well-being; may Indra, without enemies, grant us safety; let the anger of kings go elsewhere.
Let there be no enemy for us from below, nor any enemy from above; O Indra, let there be no enemy for us from behind, nor any enemy in front.

Like loosening the bowstring, I release your anger from the heart; so that, being of one mind, we may act together as friends.
As friends, let us act together; I release your anger; beneath the stone, we lay down the anger that is heavy.
I stand over your anger with my heel and with the sole of my foot; so that you may not speak against me, bring my mind under your control.
This sacred grass is free from anger, fit for good conduct; this is called the pacifier of anger, for one who is free from anger.
This sacred grass, with many roots, stands in the ocean; the sacred grass, arisen from the earth, is called the pacifier of anger.
We cast away your destructive weapon, we lead away your chief weapon; so that you may not speak against me, bring my mind under your control.
From the sky, from the earth, from all that exists in the world—trees stand upright, dreaming as they remain; may this disease depart from you.
A hundred remedies are yours, a thousand gathered together; let the best remedy flow forth, the most excellent, destroyer of disease.
You are the urine of Rudra, the navel of immortality; your name is Viṣāṇakā, arisen from the roots of the ancestors, destroyer of wind-caused affliction.
Depart, evil mind! Why do you speak harmful things? Go away, I do not desire you. Wander among the trees and forests; let my mind dwell in homes and among cattle.
Drive out, expel, whatever is hostile, whatever is uppermost, whether awake or asleep; may Agni remove all evil deeds, those not accepted, far from us.
O Indra, O Lord of Speech, even if we act wrongly, may the wise Āṅgirasas deliver us from misfortune and sin.
You are neither living nor dead, you are the immortal embryo among the gods, O dream; Varuṇānī is your mother, Yama your father, and you are called Araru.
We know your origin, O dream, you are the son of divine mothers, the agent of Yama; you are Antaka, you are Death. Thus we know you, O dream; protect us from evil dreams.
Just as they join a part, a hoof, or a tendon, so we unite all evil dreams and lead them away from the enemy.

May all the gods, the Maruts, and Indra not abandon us at this second pressing; speaking what is dear to them, may we be favored by the gods and live long.

No mortal, O Agni, can harm your form; you are a monkey, you consume your own offspring, like a cow with her afterbirth.
Like a ram, you are praised and called upon, when the upper and lower jaws devour; with your head, you strike the heads of the waters, consuming the fibers with your green flames.
The winged ones utter speech, the black ones cry out in the fields; they lead away the uppermost portion, many seeds are placed, resting upon the sun.
