ये त्रिषप्ताः परियन्ति विश्वा रूपाणि बिभ्रतः । वाचस्पतिर्बला तेषां तन्वो अद्य दधातु मे
Those who move in groups of three and seven, bearing all forms—may the Lord of Speech grant their strength and bodies to me today.
पुनरेहि वचस्पते देवेन मनसा सह । वसोष्पते नि रमय मय्येवास्तु मयि श्रुतम्
Return again, Lord of Speech, together with divine mind; O master of wealth, settle here—may what is heard remain with me, may it be in me.
इहैवाभि वि तनूभे आर्त्नी इव ज्यया । वाचस्पतिर्नि यच्छतु मय्येवास्तु मयि श्रुतम्
Here itself, with both bodies, like a bowstring stretched, may the Lord of Speech direct—may what is heard remain with me, may it be in me.
उपहूतो वाचस्पतिरुपास्मान् वाचस्पतिर्ह्वयताम् । सं श्रुतेन गमेमहि मा श्रुतेन वि राधिषि
Called upon, may the Lord of Speech come; may the Lord of Speech summon us. Let us go together with what is heard—do not let us be deprived of what is heard.
विद्मा शरस्य पितरं पर्जन्यं भूरिधायसम् । विद्मो ष्वस्य मातरं पृथिवीं भूरिवर्पसम्
We know the father of the arrow: Parjanya, abundant in gifts. We know the mother of the hiss: Earth, rich in beauty.
ज्याके परि णो नमाश्मानं तन्वं कृधि । वीडुर्वरीयोऽरातीरप द्वेषांस्या कृधि
Bowstring, bend down for us; make our body like stone. Most powerful, drive away enemies; remove all hatred.
वृक्षं यद्गावः परिषस्वजाना अनुस्फुरं शरमर्चन्त्यृभुम् । शरुमस्मद्यावय दिद्युमिन्द्र
When the cows embrace the tree, they shake and worship the arrow, the mighty one. Indra, drive away the arrow from us, the lightning.
यथा द्यां च पृथिवीं चान्तस्तिष्ठति तेजनम् । एवा रोगं चास्रावं चान्तस्तिष्ठतु मुञ्ज इत्
Just as the offspring dwells within both sky and earth, so let disease and discharge remain within—let them be released.

यदान्त्रेषु गवीन्योर्यद्वस्तावधि संश्रितम् । एवा ते मूत्रं मुच्यतां बहिर्बालिति सर्वकम्
Whatever is within the entrails of the cows, whatever is held in the bladder—so let your urine be released outside, as a child, all of it.

अम्बयो यन्त्यध्वभिर्जामयो अध्वरीयताम् । पृञ्चतीर्मधुना पयः
The sisters proceed along the paths, the sisters of the sacrifice; they filter milk mixed with honey.
अमूर्या उप सूर्ये याभिर्वा सूर्यः सह । ता नो हिन्वन्त्वध्वरम्
May those powers by which the Sun is joined to the sky, or with which the Sun abides, not harm our sacrifice.
अपो देवीरुप ह्वये यत्र गावः पिबन्ति नः । सिन्धुभ्यः कर्त्वं हविः
I invoke the divine Waters, where our cattle drink; let the offering be made to the Rivers.
अप्स्वन्तरमृतमप्सु भेषजम् । अपामुत प्रशस्तिभिरश्वा भवथ वाजिनो गावो भवथ वाजिनीः
In the waters is ambrosia, in the waters is medicine; by the praises of the waters, may you become swift horses, may you become strong cattle.
आपो हि ष्ठा मयोभुवस्ता न ऊर्जे दधातन । महे रणाय चक्षसे
O Waters, you are the bringers of happiness; grant us nourishment and strength for great vision in battle.
यो वः शिवतमो रसस्तस्य भाजयतेह नः । उशतीरिव मातरः
May we partake here of your most auspicious essence, O Waters, as loving mothers share with their children.
तस्मा अरं गमाम वो यस्य क्षयाय जिन्वथ । आपो जनयथा च नः
Therefore, let us approach you, from whom you grant increase; O Waters, generate us anew.
ईशाना वार्याणां क्षयन्तीश्चर्षणीनाम् । अपो याचामि भेषजम्
Mistresses of treasures, sustainers of peoples, O Waters, I ask you for healing.
शं नो देवीरभिष्टय आपो भवन्तु पीतये । शं योरभि स्रवन्तु नः
May the divine Waters bring us happiness and blessings for drinking; may their streams flow with well-being for us.
अप्सु मे सोमो अब्रवीदन्तर्विश्वानि भेषजा । अग्निं च विश्वशंभुवम्
Within the waters, Soma spoke to me: 'All medicines are within us, and Agni, the bringer of all blessings.'
आपः पृणीत भेषजं वरूथं तन्वे मम । ज्योक्च सूर्यं दृशे
O Waters, fill us with healing and protection for my body, so that I may see the Sun for a long time.
शं न आपो धन्वन्याः शमु सन्त्वनूप्याः । शं नः खनित्रिमा आपः शमु याः कुम्भ आभृताः । शिवा नः सन्तु वार्षिकीः
May the waters of the rivers bring us happiness, may the waters of the streams bring us happiness; may the waters drawn by digging and those brought in jars bring us happiness; may the rains be auspicious for us.
स्तुवानमग्न आ वह यातुधानं किमीदिनम् । त्वं हि देव वन्दितो हन्ता दस्योर्बभूविथ
O Agni, bring here the sorcerer and the fiend who hates us, as we praise you; for you, O god, are praised and have become the slayer of the enemy.
